lullaby of a cat

the dews break and bid a nauseating-
farewell to the night when I weep
for I unable to mirror the wants in my heart
to knit an ode
while the muse is sound enveloped
in slumber and curled hugging his tail
though I miss to hear when he’d
snuggle and purr
often I wonder do you dream
like the dream I had?
do you dream of my face?
but he is safe, he is safe
oh he is safe, that is worth
more than a thousand sleepless
poems
